About 8Bit Arcade
A browser arcade built around players and indie developers.
8Bit Arcade is an early-access platform for discovering playable games and testing a more transparent path from developer build to published arcade release.
Why we are building it
Make the path from game build to player easier to inspect.
Players should be able to understand what is available and start a browser game without navigating speculative product claims. Developers should be able to submit a build, see its status, inspect QA evidence, and understand what remains before wider distribution.
That is the practical focus of the platform today. New publishing, engine, and commercial capabilities are described according to their current validation state rather than presented as finished.
Available now

- Accounts, profiles, and selected social features for connected play
- A developer submission workflow for game builds and review status
- Sandbox credentials, smoke tests, QA reports, and feedback capture
In validation

- Distribution checks for Phaser/Web, GameMaker, and Construct helpers
- Broader self-service publishing and public commercial terms
Operating principles
What guides the product
- Playable before promotional
- Public pages should point to working games and current workflows, not future catalog size or unverified adoption metrics.
- Evidence before readiness labels
- Engine packages are tracked with compile evidence and explicit blockers until their editor smoke tests are complete.
- Developer ownership
- Developers retain ownership of their games, source code, and original assets while using the submission workflow.
